Post Tags are simple labels that managers can apply to a post. You can use post tags to relate separate posts that are not already connected by Category, Division, or Targets. Post Tags can be used segment some types of post reports, such as the Percentage of Total Engagement by Post Tag Report. You can also apply a post tag when connecting a feed.
To create a Post Tag the below steps can be followed:
- Login to the Manager App and navigate to Content > Posts
- In the left menu pane, you'll see the Filter options. Next to "Tag", click on "Manage"
- Type the name of the tag you wish to add in the "Add a Tag" field
- Click "Add"
The last 2 steps can be repeated for any additional tags you would like to add.
For members to use post tags, a manager must select the Allow Users to Tag Posts check box in the Posts Default page by going to Admin > Advanced > Post Defaults. Selecting Optional allows members the option of applying tags to posts, and selecting Required makes it mandatory. For more information on tags, see Member Tags.
Manage Post Tags
You can manage your post tags by going to Content > Posts and following the instructions for Manage Member Tags. An additional step in the Manage Tags window for post tags is the option for managers to make a tag available to members by selecting the Available for member selection check box. Select this check box to enable your post tag to be used on member-facing post submission pages.
