Themes
When you create a Theme, you can assign that Theme to specific sets of employees using Custom Targets. That way, each group can view their own branding theme. With the AND/OR logic of Custom Targets, you can create personalized experiences by locations, departments, or subsidiaries.
If a member meets the criteria for multiple themes, the Community Manager can rank the order of the Themes that will be visible to members.
Single Target Example
If a theme has been assigned target values from a single Custom Target, then any members who are in any of the assigned values will see the theme.
Ex: A theme is created with a Custom Target: Location, and assigned the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Monterey values. Any member in SF or LA or Monterey will see the theme.
Multiple Target Example
If a theme has been assigned target values from multiple Custom Targets, then only members who meet criteria in all the Custom Targets used will see the theme.
Ex: A theme is created Custom Targets Department and Location. Under “Department” the following values are selected: Engineering, Product. Under “Location”, the following values are selected: San Francisco, Los Angeles. Any members that are assigned the Product or Engineering values AND assigned San Francisco or Los Angeles, will see the theme.

Themes (Divisions)
When you create a Theme, you can assign that Theme to a specific Division of employees. That way, each Division can view their own branding theme. While each Division can have its own Theme assigned, only one Theme can be assigned to a specific Division. But multiple Divisions can share the same Theme. A default theme is assigned to members who are not part of a division or if a division does not have a theme assigned to it.
Single Division Example
Anthony Castelli is assigned to the Engineering Division. The Engineering Dvision is assigned the Theme ENG. Therefore, the ENG Theme will be visible to Anthony and the other members of his Division.
Multiple Divisions Example
Anthony Castelli is assigned to both the Engineering and Traeger Divisions. The Engineering Division is assigned the Theme ENG, and the Traeger division is assigned the Theme TRGR. Since TRGR is ranked above ENG, the TRGR Theme will be visible to Anthony and other members of his Division.
