You can utilize Divisions when creating a Leaderboard by selecting a specific Division for your Leaderboard. If you create a Leaderboard for a specific Division, then points will only be rewarded for shares, clicks, post submissions, approval points and reactions to content within that Division.
Example 1
You create a Leaderboard with the EMEA division selected. Members of the EMEA Division will be allowed to participate in the Leaderboard, but they will only get points for shares, clicks, and reactions on content that is within the EMEA Division. A member sharing content from another division will not receive points.
Example 2
Alternatively, you can create an EMEA Group based on the EMEA Division, and then create a Leaderboard selecting Global as the Division, and selecting EMEA as the group. This will restrict participants in the Leaderboard to the EMEA Division, but will reward member points on all sharing and engagement with all content in the platform, regardless of the member’s division. This is the most commonly used leaderboard method using divisions.
