When trying to create a post in the manager app by importing a link, you may receive the following error message.
"We couldn't import any content from the link you provided. To submit this post, please enter a title (and any other fields) below."
This could be caused by a non-standard character, like an apostrophe, pound symbol (hashtag), trademark symboled, and others, in the URL. Or, it could be that the URL doesn't have the necessary metadata in order to automatically construct the post.
To resolve this, verify if the non-standard character is necessary in the URL. Often, there are other, duplicate URLs that can be used. Alternatively, consider manually creating the post in the system.
Import error also happens due to the website blocking our DySi Bot User Agent (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; rv:92.0; Dynamic Signal) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/92.0): Email-IP-Range-Allowlisting
As a workaround, website can still be added to the community by manually creating the post itself (Create your own post) and including the URL to post's permalink.
