Create a Touchpoint
- To create a Touchpoint, navigate to Content > Touchpoints.
- Click the Create Touchpoint button in the upper right-hand corner of the Touchpoints main page.
- The Create Touchpoint window will open.
- Select the Feed Type:
- Interactive feed - Interactive feeds are perfect for websites that encourage active engagement. Members will be able to initiate likes, comments, and share posts from this type of feed. They can also scroll indefinitely so there’s no need to worry about a content limit. The following sign-in options can help improve the feed experience.
- Sign-in enabled - Signed-in members only will be able to see their own personalized feed. Members will receive the landing page experience set by the Community (either 'My Content' or a default category). If a community is set to 'My Content', a user will land in a feed consisting of all their subscribed categories. If a community chose a default category instead, such as 'Company News', then content from the default category will populate the feed (targets will be respected once a user signs in).
- Sign-in disabled - All members will see the feed, however, the feed will be comprised of content from the selected Touchpoint categories. Since members are not signed in, targets will not be respected.
- Passive feed - Passive feeds are great for content like slide shows that can be consumed externally via TVs or other monitors. They are ideal for helping power content to existing digital signage solutions, but are not a standalone replacement for digital signage. These feeds consist of endpoints that can be consumed via RSS, JSON, or iFrame (if a slideshow is desired).

- Title - The title of the post is used only on the main page, to help differentiate your Touchpoints. This title is not presented in the Touchpoint itself.
- Categories - Categories chosen here will power the Touchpoint. You can select as many categories as desired and we will apply the filter below. If the Touchpoint is an interactive feed with sign-in enabled, content from this category will be displayed until the user signs in. Once the user signs in, they will see their personalized feed.
- Filters - Filters are used to control what content is displayed from the chosen categories above.
- Include all posts - This option will include all content from the chosen categories in the feed.
- Include shareable posts only - Your community may have content that it wants to keep private and behind a log-in. If sign-in is disabled, this is a way to ensure that private content is not displayed and that the only content displayed in the feed has been cleared for sharing. It also encourages the sharing of relevant content.
- Post settings for included posts - Only 'Share this Post Externally' is enabled on the main Create Post page.

- Include posts that are shareable OR open outside the application - This option is ideal for communities that have a mix of private and public content. This filter will include posts that Members have been allowed to share on social media OR posts that open on an external site when clicked on. With this option, either shareable would be enabled for the post OR 'Out of Application.

- Post URL Behavior - This option is only for touchpoints being consumed via RSS. To make sure the feed is being scraped correctly, we offer the following options.
- Default - Posts will point directly to the post inside the community. Private posts will be gated behind the standard community login.
- Landing Page - Posts will be directed to a dedicated landing page with exposed metadata and then redirected to the post inside the community. This is useful if your feed will be used on another service with a crawler/scraper. The permalink for each post will be a sparse "landing page" that does not require authentication with SEO metadata on it
Edit, Revoke, or Delete a Touchpoint
Clicking on the down arrow to the right of the Touchpoint will display options to Edit, Revoke, or Delete the Touchpoint.
- Edit - Applied changes to the Touchpoint will take effect immediately.
- Revoke - If a Touchpoint URL is ever compromised, you can choose to revoke it via the dropdown. This will invalidate the existing URL and generate a new one with the current Touchpoint configuration. The platform that the Touchpoint is displayed on (SharePoint, digital signage, etc.) will need to be updated with the new link.
- Delete - You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. This will remove the Touchpoint from the platform it is displayed on. The link will then need to be removed from the platform that the Touchpoint is displayed on (SharePoint, digital signage, etc.).
