Broadcast Notification Types
There are three default types of notifications members can receive for a Broadcast:
Notification Type
Description
In App Notification
A member is notificed of the Broadcast in the app
Email
A member receives an email
Mobile Push Notification
A member receives a notification on their mobile device
There are two additional notification types that must be enabled on the platform before they are available for selection:
- SMS text message
- Facebook Messenger

SMS text notifications require Twilio account integration.caution
Even if the SMS text and Facebook Messenger notification types are enabled on the platform, members must opt into receiving these types of notifications on their own platforms before they can receive them. Refer to this article in the Member Guide to show members how to enable these notification types.
Pre-Populating Broadcasts
You can pre-populate your broadcast with a post that you’d like to be included. To do so:
- From the Content tab, go to Posts > Approved.
- Click the broadcast icon in the post list, next to the post you want to broadcast.
- On the Post Details page, click Broadcast on the left sidebar, or New Broadcast on the right side near the post summary.
Filter Posts by Broadcast Status
You can filter the Posts page to sort posts by their Broadcast status. Go to Content > Posts. The Sort by Broadcast filter is near the bottom of the side bar.
Click yes to see only posts that have been broadcasted. After clicking yes, a filter bar will appear at the top of the page:
Click the X icon to remove the filter and see all posts.
