When running an ad-hoc report using the Members Page, this is done by using the filters on the panel below:
Differences between retrieving reports from this method as opposed to Custom Reporting are:
- The Members Page report is filtering those, for example, who have ever viewed a Post and are Suspended in an all time time range - creating a larger number of views, it filters by current events, it does not take into account a user's change of status (Preregistered/Registered/Suspended) or the activity that occurred during each status but just takes into account the user's current status.
The Custom reports do take into account a user's change of status, and will apply any activity that occurred during each status in the appropriate row (Preregistered/Registered/Suspended). - The custom report is counting those who are viewing a post after they are suspended, not posts they have viewed prior to their suspension due to documenting the user's change of status
The custom report will take post views from preregistered members that had viewed posts prior to being registered but are now of registered status
The custom report will take post views from currently suspended members that had viewed posts when they were registered and apply this to the registered members status, because at the time they were of registered status. - Data from the Members page filter panel is generated in real-time whereas Custom reports are not. When you retrieve data via all time Custom Reports you will be able to view data up until the beginning of the previous day, for example 10/20/2020 00:00:00.
