Follow the steps below to seamlessly share posts with or without images directly to your Instagram story or feed.
Share Post to a Story:
- Tap the Share button on the post.
- Optionally, you can add share text at this stage.
- Tap the Instagram icon.
- Select Share as story.
- You'll transition into Instagram, where your post will be transformed into a single image with the description and a link to the article copied to your clipboard.
- To insert the link, tap the sticker icon at the top (next to the text icon).
- Select Link.
- Paste your URL from the clipboard into the space provided. Tap Done once complete.
- You can position the link on the screen as desired.
- By default, 'Your Story' is selected for sharing. Tap Share to finish.
- You can now view the story in your current stories on Instagram.
Share Post to a Feed:
- Tap the Share button on the post.
- Optionally, you can add share text if none is present.
- Tap the Instagram Icon.
- Select Share as Post.
- You'll transition into Instagram, where your image will be saved, and your share text will be copied to your clipboard. If there is no share text, your description will be copied.
- Instagram will present you with options to share to your Story or Feed (on iOS, there's also an option to post to a message).
- Tap Feed (if you want to post to your Story, you can go back and reselect that workflow).
- You'll be presented with the image preselected from your camera reel. Tap Next.
- You can edit the image or add audio if needed. Once complete, tap Next.
- Instagram will present you with the post creation screen. Here, you can paste from your clipboard into the 'Write a Caption' area.
- Make any additional selections you need, and once you're ready, tap Share.
- Your post will now be published to your feed on Instagram.
